...and a long and winding road it's been. From student...to player...to Nashville...to teacher.....and back to the student I've always been. Fortunate enough to have travelled the musical road, playing and meeting great musician's and friends like yourself along the way. The opportunity to "hang" in a steel guitar mecca and taking in many of the "heavies" in concert...just a short stroll down the hill to Jeffran College...a place of past and future unforgettable experiences....the good old days.
Playing, listening, watching...and playing some more....on a quest for anything new and inspirational. I am truly proud to have shared many moments with some of the greats.... especially a great teacher, musician, mentor, and unforgettable personality Mr. Jeff Newman....who later became my father-in-law and inspired me to try some of my own ideas in teaching materials.
Thus, fifteen years ago, Stepping Stone Music was born with the help and expertise of my lovely wife, Janice, who many of you may remember from the "college days".
The materials that have been made available over the past number of years have always been geared for the working player including those with special interests ...such as the series. Hopefully, more ideas for useful material will follow in the future. Thanks to all of you for your past....and future support!
