The "Session 'picks' "series has proven itself to be our most popular and effective concept to date. Anticipating the needs of the working player this series was constructed to give insights into re-creating the steel sounds of popular country tunes on the bandstand....trying to decipher these licks and phrases can sometimes be frustrating and time-consuming. So why not take this "chore" and make it more enjoyable and informative at the same time? When I was a young, eager, up and coming player some twenty-five or so years ago, I don't know what I would have given to have had this kind of information available. Later, during my "pro" years in Nashville, I was fortunate enough to have actually gotten paid to learn and emulate many different artist's recorded sounds "live" on the road....a skill that I would be pleased to share with those of you interested in expanding your playing technique and abilities. A lot of positive feedback from players seems to indicate that this has really worked for them.

Although they are not "current" tunes, I assure you that the material is "meaty" , not outdated, and definitely worth taking another look at.
